Kineton Debate Club Tournament for Primary Schools

In November 2017, Kineton Debate Club students from Years 10 and 11 organised and ran a British Parliamentary Debate Tournament, hosted at Kineton High School. Students from Kineton, Morten Morrell, and Temple Herdewyke Primary Schools visited for the whole day, and joined Year 7 Kineton High School students for the training and competition.

The senior students created the timetable of activities, coached the participants, organised the refreshments and judged the competition.  The visiting Primary School teachers said they were very impressed with both the Debate Club members, and the noticeable progress that their students were making with the feedback from each heat.

Congratulations to all the students who took part - the competition was very close! Certificates were awarded to those who shone in particular skills such as rebuttal or summarising. Well done to Eloise and Sophie, the overall winners.
