Resources to help students prepare for examinations: Don't Panic!

We all revise in different ways. Some of you reading this may be thinking, "I just wish I could find my favourite way, but so far it's still hiding from me!" The website Elevate Education is terrific for ideas - there are videos giving several suggestions for a wide range of techniques and strategies you can use, from answering short questions, to studying in the bathroom! Some videos also give tips on good routines for the exam days themselves. If you have a look at these sooner rather than later, then you could try some out for your mocks.

Keeping everything in perspective is also important. The Mindfulness in Schools Project (MiSP) aims to equip students to cope with stress and workload. It is relatively new, but lots of research is going into this. These coping skills become particularly relevant in times of exams. If you wish to use these techniques (start now to feel the benefit before the summer), then here are some links for you to use. You may well feel the benefit of doing a ten-minute mindfulness task first thing in the morning, or before you go to bed.
